Eggnog

Here’s the best eggnog recipe we’ve ever tried.

Eggnog

8 egg yolks

1/3 cup sugar, plus 1 Tbs. reserved

6 cups goat’s milk

4 oz Rum or Bourbon

1/4 tsp. organic nutmeg

8 egg whites

In a bowl beat the egg yolks with mixer until they lighten in color.  Gradually add the sugar and continue to beat until it is completely dissolved. Add the milk, rum and nutmeg and stir to combine.  Place the egg whites in a bowl and beat with mixer to soft peaks.  With the mixer still running gradually add the 1 Tbs. of sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.

Whisk the egg whites into the milk mixture.  Chill and serve.

Note: Dark rum or bourbon can be used.
